WELCOME TO 2017

WELCOME TO 2017 – And welcome to a new Blog. I wish you all a happy New Year and I hope, you had a great time on New Year’s Eve. Weather you celebrated it or not, it simply reminds us that another year has passed by. It reminds us of the finitude of life and that we should enjoy every moment we have. Yes, this sounds cheesy and you’ve heard it many times before, but even though it’s far not as easy as it sounds, we can do so a little bit more often.

Many people make lists of things they want to improve in the new year, things they want to experience and habits they want to get rid off. Whether it’s eating healthier, doing more sports or quit smoking – we often only try fort he first few weeks before we get back into our normal life. Changing the daily routine you are used to since a long time can’t be fixed as easy as with setting a good task for the New Year. But little things like being more friendly, treating yourself and others better, paying more attention to your environment – all of that can be improved a bit if you really want it by heart.

For me, it all starts with learning to enjoy every single moment. Living in a busy world where everything is just about success and money, about being as fast as possible and always up to speed, this can be extremely difficult. For our body, however, it’s impossible to be constantly at the top. Even though we might be trying as hard as we can, we are just running behind everything and miss the precious things we pass by on the way. Sometimes, we need a break from running to look around, to see the flowers at the roadside we can’t see when running over them. These flowers are the moments that make living worth it, don’t stamp them down.

Take some time to think about the things that have a meaning for your heart, things you enjoyed in 2016 and things you want to experience in 2017. It doesn’t have to be much, it’s simply to make you’re life a little bit happier.
